One of the sweetest, most feminine styles of all, the half-up hair bow takes small sections of hair to create an actual bow with your hair. This delicate look (which is surprisingly long-lasting and stable) is great for picnics, lazy Sunday afternoons, or even a festive holiday party.
IDEAL HAIR LENGTH
HAIR EXTENSIONS NEEDED?
The hair bow is the accessory to this style, so no further decoration is needed. However, for an extra accent you could run two fine ribbons from the hair elastic to hold the bow in place and thread them around and through the loops.
Try repeating this style again beneath the original bow to create multiple bows.

HOW TO GET IT HALF-UP HAIR BOW
WHAT YOU NEED
- Small clear hair elastic
- Bobby pins
- Hairspray (optional)
1). Brush your hair and separate two sections of hair, both about 1 inch wide, from each side of your head. Connect these two sections at the back of your head with a small clear hair elastic.
2). Take the elastic around the sectioned hair one more time, but only pull the hair halfway through to form a loop.
3). Split the loop in half and separate the two pieces to form the loops of the hair bow.
4). Take a small piece of hair from the hanging section below the bow and loop it up and around to form the middle of the bow.
5). Secure the bow in place with bobby pins.
TOP TIP : Place your bobby pin horizontally through the center of the bow and pin it to the hair underneath, and pin the loops back to the hair underneath at each side. This allows the style to stay secure and hide your bobby pins at the same time. For extra hold, spray a mist of hairspray.
