HOW TO GET IT TOP KNOT BUN

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Brush
  • Hair elastic
  • Bobby pins or hairpins
  • Hairspray (optional)

1). Brush your hair and gather it up into a high ponytail. Secure with a strong elastic.

2). Loosely twist your hair and then loop it around the base of the ponytail. If you have long hair, you may need to loop it around twice, but don’t pull your hair too tight, because you want the bun to be a little loose.

3). Secure the base of the bun with bobby pins or hairpins.

4). If required, finish with a spritz of hairspray to hold any flyaways and loose pieces of hair.

TOP TIP : You need only four bobby pins to secure the bun—one at both the front and back and one at each side. If your hair is thick, use hairpins to pin the bun in place instead. Don’t try to be too precise with top knots—if they’re too tight, they can give you a headache, and remember, you still want to look effortless.
